To Our Retired Patients with Dental Insurance:

We wanted to update you on ongoing changes in the dental insurance industry. Insurance companies are joining forces with Medicare plans to provide dental coverage for retirees.

On the surface, these plans appear to be similar to traditional dental plans. However, as they are part of the Medicare system, the reimbursement rates are significantly less than traditional dental coverage.

We are not contracted with these types of plans. We cannot know in advance what your Medicare-based dental benefits will cover towards your visits in our office.

Because of this, we are requesting that you pay in full on the date of service for your treatment in our office. We are still able to file your dental claim as a convenience. When your insurance company pays, we will quickly reimburse to you the amount paid to our office.
